Nathan Maehren is the senior vice president of digital for the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities -- the fourth largest YMCA association in the world. The YMCA is a leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Maehren leads the strategic efforts to grow the Y’s mission through immersive digital experiences. This included integrating digital marketing, website and ecommerce platforms, point-of-sale, CRM, and innovative digital products to maximize the Y’s impact on the people and communities it serves.
In addition to his work at the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities, he is leading a national and global platform for YMCAs by YMCAs called Open Y. Open Y is community of YMCAs and partners transforming digital experiences for YMCAs through deep collaboration efforts and the use of progressive open-source technologies.
Maehren has more than 20 years of marketing and technology experience leading business strategies, creating digital products, inventing mobile innovation, and running e-commerce for large companies. Prior to the YMCA, he led large-scale digital efforts within retail, marketing agencies, and IT management consulting.
Maehren has a computer science degree from the University of St. Thomas and actively serves in his church, Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
