Kevin comes from a holler deep in the Appalachian Highlands of Southwest Virginia. He is used to overcoming hardship — as was his family going back several generations. Knowing how to be resourceful, and how to apply themselves to their craft, is a way of life in Appalachia. Unlike his ancestors though, he’s a “Xennial,” born in that magic time-frame of 1977-83. As such, he’s thoroughly experienced the paper-driven analog world. He’s helped build the digital world. All this life experience led him to treat his current role as a web developer for what it is — a craft.
Daily, he relies on his graphic design, marketing sense, and web know-how. He’s applied those skills with a little elbow grease, designing solutions that help reach goals. For example, he’s currently building marketing automation into his internal systems. They’ve already used it effectively to generate better leads with less effort. See how that works? Checkout his Q&A to learn how you might can do something similar.
You can follow him along on life’s journey on his blog, CantQuitCoding.com. As a side note, he currently lives in different holler, just down the road in Northeast Tennessee.
